A comprehensive eye examination at Aston Eyes is designed to look after both sight and eye health. Appointments are booked with enough time to talk through concerns, medical history and family eye problems without feeling rushed.
What happens during your visit
The examination typically includes:
Discussion of your symptoms, work set‑up, driving needs and digital device use.
Measurement of your prescription for distance and near, including checks for eye‑strain, binocular vision and focus flexibility.
Detailed eye‑health assessment using slit‑lamp biomicroscopy and, where appropriate, dilating drops.
Use of modern imaging such as retinal photography and OCT to screen for glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and other conditions.
Clear explanations and next steps
Results are explained in plain language and time is taken to answer questions. You receive personalised recommendations, which may include new glasses or contact lenses, dry‑eye or myopia management, or referral to your GP or ophthalmologist when needed. The goal is a long‑term relationship where your eyes are reviewed regularly, not only when vision becomes blurry.
